Language level as the decisive milestone in international recruiting

No factor delays the start date of international professionals as often as language. Regulated professions such as nursing generally require B2 under the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR); many trade and technical occupations require B1, and the visa often already A2 — depending on the residence permit.

Between A1 and B2 lie several months of full-time tuition. If that period is not planned and tracked within the process, recognition and visa cannot be run in parallel in any meaningful way.

Language assessment in TalentSure records course progress, exam dates and certificates (Goethe-Institut, telc and others) in the candidate profile. Employers can always see when the target level will be reached — and the next steps start automatically once a certificate is on file.

Frequently asked questions about language assessment

What level of German do international professionals need?

It depends on the occupation: professional recognition in nursing usually requires B2, many technical and trade occupations B1. The visa has its own requirements depending on the residence permit.

Which language certificates are accepted?

Generally certificates aligned to the CEFR, such as those from the Goethe-Institut or telc. Which certificates a specific recognition authority accepts is recorded in the profile and considered during checks.

Does TalentSure run language exams itself?

No. Language courses and exams are delivered by language schools and examination institutes. The platform maps course progress, dates and certificates and links them to the subsequent process steps.

How long does it take to get from A1 to B2?

With intensive tuition typically several months; the exact duration depends on course format, prior knowledge and learning environment. That is why language training is tracked as a separate milestone with a forecast.
